Recently I was going through Marcos Balter’s catalog and his work Bladed Stance really caught my ear. Despite its resemblance to an ambient-electronic track, you may be surprised to learn that this piece is scored for an entirely acoustic ensemble of flute, clarinet, trumpet, violin, viola, and cello. Enjoy this gem that I missed back in 2013!
