University of Florida Graduate Composition Residency

Sputter Box was in residence at the University of Florida as collaborating artists with the graduate composition studio for the 2021-2022 season. We met with the students months in advance for a workshop on writing for our instruments and for a unique instrumentation. Leading up to the performance, we worked with the composers in rehearsal and feedback sessions. We cannot wait to return, Spring 2025!

UMass Amherst Residency

Early 2020, Sputter Box did a residency with University of Massachusetts Amherst and worked with the percussion studio students in a master class, concluding with a joint recital. This project included music from the 20th and 21st centuries, some of which was written specifically for Sputter Box
