Sputter Classics

Sputter Classics highlights Sputter Box’s classic repertoire, showcasing the unique combination of clarinet, voice, and percussion at its best. It includes five works commissioned by Sputter Box and two pre-existing works, all written by innovative composers shaping the future of contemporary classical chamber music. The topics on this program range from profound moments of stillness in life, to an improvisational work that questions the purpose of writing music. With its masterfully composed works and Sputter Box’s engaging, high-caliber performance, this program is establishing a canon of repertoire for the future of this unique instrumentation.

This program is best for venues that cannot provide any percussion equipment.
